Today is a special day. I’m in first grade now, and something even more amazing happened—my mom just gave birth to my baby brother!

This morning, before going to school, I visited my mom at the midwife’s house near our home. She had been there since last night, and early this morning, my little brother was born. I was so excited when I heard the news! I finally have a baby brother. A real little brother! I don’t know much about babies yet, but I know that I will take care of him and play with him when he grows up.

After seeing my mom and my newborn brother, I quickly got ready for school. My uniform was neatly pressed, my shoes were clean, and my backpack felt heavier than usual. Maybe it’s because today feels so important. The day I became a big brother!

At school, everything felt new. The classroom smelled like fresh books and chalk, and the teacher was very kind. I met new friends and learned how to write my name properly. I also got my first lesson about counting numbers. It was fun, but I kept thinking about my baby brother at home. I couldn’t wait to go back and see him again.

When school was over, I rushed home. My mom was still at the midwife’s house, but my dad said that both she and my baby brother were doing well. I felt so happy. Today will always be one of the best days of my life.

Now, I’m sitting here, writing this on the computer. I don’t know if I’ll remember all the details when I grow up, but I want to write everything down so I won’t forget.

Welcome to the world, little brother! I’m so happy you’re here.
